Please help me raise funds for Autism NS and in Particular Bedford Sackville Chapter
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at this. I am thrilled to be able to participate in this year's Walk the Walk for Autism. Most years I am traveling for work and not able to participate (this year I fly out in the evening the same day following the walk).
Thank you so much to those of you who donated!! I was thrilled to be over my fundraising goal in less than 24 hours and as a result have doubled my goal. Your genorosity means so much to me.
My company will be matching all of the donations I receive, so for every dollar you donate the organziation will receive double.
Update June 4- I have no increased my goat to $4500. My company has donated $1120 and will be doing a second match donation this Friday.
Why I'm Walking
My 8 year old daughter Renee has autism. She was diagnosed shortly after her 4th birthday in 2012. Autism NS, and in parituclar the Bedford Sackville Chapter Parents Support Group has been such a big part of my life ever since.
I remember the week after her diagnosis attending my first parent support group. The Bedford Sackville Chapter of Autism NS is a great group of parents/family of those with autism that are also awesome volunteers. There are so many events for families that are totally FREE throughout the year including swims, picnics, movies, reptile shows, dances, etc. There are also resources and networking for the families of those with autism. It is great to be able to both raise awareness and funds for such a great organization and one that has helped our family so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
