Walk the Walk for Autism - Stepping in the Right Direction for Autism
On Saturday
June 16th,
it's time to walk

Why We Walk

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my page!  As many of you know, I am lucky enough to be a learning centre teacher with the HRSB.  I remember when I started teaching I didn't even know what autism was.  Now, I am blessed with the opportunity to work with several children with autism on a daily basis and hopefully helping all children, especially my own, see that no two people in this world are the same, and that our uniqueness is what makes the world such an amazing place to live.  Every day more and more children are being diagnosed with autism and there just aren't enough resources or programs readily available for these children. Lets raise both money and awareness for Autism Nova Scotia!!!

"The most interesting people you’ll find are ones that don’t fit into your average cardboard box. They’ll make what they need, they’ll make their own boxes,” Dr. Temple Grandin

Why I'm Walking

I'm walking because I want to help raise funds for programming.  I'm walking because I want to learn absolutely everything I can about autism, and without the funds that's just not possible.  I'm walking because I want to help raise awareness for autism.
