Why I'm Walking
We are once again walking because our adventure with Autism started when Aydon was diagnosed with when he was 3 1/2.
Shortly after Aydon received his diagnoses we were introduced to the Pictou County Children with Autism. It started off with a small group of parents who got together to support each other once a month. But he has now grown to so much more.
Adam and Myself now both sit on the executive of this amazing group which continues to grow and touch so many others.
In the last year we have helped children go to camp/recreation in the summer, we have many social events, pizza parties get together. We have this year joined with you YMCA and set up a pilot program to help our children to participate in swimming lessons. We have also started a Gymnastics program with our local gymnastics club.
The money raised in this event in Stellarton will go towards our kids here in Pictou County.
